Harrison Students Received Top Honors at the 2012 State DECA competition Harrison High School students received top honors at the recent State DECA competition. The awards included three first place award, six second place awards, three third place awards, and nine finalist awards. The Harrison chapter was also recognized as a gold level certified school based enterprise.
Harrison's first place winners were Jessica Johnson and Jaden Richardson for the Entrepreneurship Promotion Project event, Joe Carter for the Business Operations Research event, and Jake Woolston and Parker Richardson for the Financial Services Team Decision Making event. Harrison’s second place winners were Kelyn Campbell for the Human Resource Management event, Taylor Goulet for the Hotel and for the Lodging Management event, Amanda Deesfor the Financial Services Research event, Lorena Harauzek for the International Business Plan event, Kennon Chu and Alex Raney for the Marketing Communications Team Decision Making even, and Trevor Hopperfor the Entertainment Marketing Research event. |

the Fashion Promotion Project. Finalists awards went to Patty Johnson for the Restaurant Management event, Ben Kelly for the Accounting event, Jourdan Mayor for the Marketing Management event, Marta Romeo for the Principles of Hospitality event, Samantha Seymore for the Tourism Selling event, Jessica Farison and Kaleb Henry for the Business Law event, Emily Best for the Public Relations event, Ashley Wewers for the Apparel Merchandising event, and Keaton Youngblood for the Principles of Finance event |
