Harrison DECA Attends International Conference
Seven members of the Harrison High School DECA Chapter recently traveled to Anaheim, California to attend DECA’s International Career Development Conference. The meeting was held April 24-29, 2013. Over 16,000 high school students from the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, and Germany attended the 67th annual conference.
Harrison High School DECA members participating were Parker Richardson, Jake Woolston, Dustin Kirkpatrick, Keaton Youngblood, Jennie Badovinac, Rebecca Dennis, and Sierra Martin. All seven students were recent state competition winners and earned the opportunity of participating at the international conference.
Sierra Martin represented Arkansas in the Accounting Services Event. Keaton Youngblood competed in the Marketing Management Event. Dustin Kirkpatrick and Jennie Badovinac competed in the Marketing Communications Management Team Event. Rebecca Dennis competed in the Retail Merchandising Event. Parker Richardson and Jake Woolston attended the Senior Management Institute, a leadership training program for high school seniors.
